The way I prepare for a redraft league, is by knowing my exact draft position in each round, and then going onto the "expected"/"assumed" ADP list for all players I'm interested in, just to get a basic idea or feel for where and when to expect those players to be picked.
Obviously, much of that is not going to be accurate for several different reasons, e.g., certain people being much higher on players than a majority of others, or other times needing to pull the trigger a round early (compared to ADP) because they may not have a chance to draft said player in the next round before someone else has the chance to. That being said as "part" of my evaluation, let's get to it.

Round 1
I drafted my intended target in Mixon with the 3rd overall pick, which may have surprised a few people seeing as how he was projected to be drafted 10th overall, with 5 other rb's expected to be drafted before him in the 1st round. I did my due diligence though and am happy with this pick. Mixon finished as the 5th best overall scoring ( non-Qb) player in this league last season, his offensive line has been vastly improved, and there really isn't any other RB threat to steal many opportunities from him in that high scoring offense to make me think he won't equal or better his performance. Sure CMC & Henry have a higher possible ceiling, but not without more risk IMO. I did waffle a bit between Mixon and Ekeler, but feel confident and happy with my selection. Will be really interesting to revisit this draft at the end of the season to see how right or wrong we were on certain players. -------------------------------------------------------------- As for the rest of everyone else's picks in the 1st round: If anyone was shocked at all by me picking Mixon 3rd overall, I'd have to imagine there are quite a few like myself that were a bit blindsided and even dumbfounded to an extent by Jeppers 2nd overall pick of Ja'Marr Chase. I mean, if we go strictly off of the expected ADP alone, then Chase wasn't really that far of a reach, as he held an expected ADP of 6th overall. However, there were still 11 other ( non-Qb) players still on the board that scored higher than him in that league last season, and 4 of the top five ( non-Qb) scorers were 4-1 in favor of Rb's vs. WR's. Had it been Cupp, or " maybe" even Justin Jefferson, that would've been more easily understandable for me to rationalize. Nevertheless, Chase has proven to be a great talent on a high scoring team with a very good Qb and much improved O-Line. Still though, think he was a reach. Time shall tell. No other pick in the first round shocked or surprised me at all.

Round 2My board for round number two with the 18th pick was either: Kamara, Aaron Jones, D'Andre Swift or Deebo Samuel. Kamara & Jones were gone before my pick, as expected according to the ADP. That left me between Deebo or Swift. Deebo's ADP was 13th overall, compared to Swift's ADP of 20th overall. Deebo was the 7th highest scoring ( non-Qb) player in this league last season, compared to Swift's 29th overall ( non-Qb) scoring total. Already had my top RB in Mixon, wasn't overly convinced Swift would be a top 5-10 RB, and felt like Deebo has the potential to still be a top 5 WR again. Will be interesting to see if Deebo outscores Swift this season considering it came down between the two of them for me this round. So with that pick, I knabbed myself the 3rd best scoring WR in the league last season (7th best overall), to pair up with the 4th best scoring RB in the league last season (5th best overall) in my first two picks. I'm pretty damn skippy with that. Feel like Deebo is a special talent on the top tier of WR's, and was pleased to find out that his new gigantic contract offers big bonuses each season he rushes for over 300+ yards, as well as his normal receiving duties. Money is motivation, and they worked it into his contract situation. Knowledge is power. -------------------------------------------------------------- As for the rest of everyone else's picks in the 2nd round: Divebitch , loved the Justin Jefferson pick at the end of the first round(10th overall), but to follow up with another WR in back-to-back picks in Stefon Diggs I don't think was a great idea for your team personally, especially considering that RB's score vastly more points than most WR's in this league, and you passed up on the likes of at least 5 top tier type Rb's in Kamara, Fournette, Najee Harris, and Aaron Jones (who ALL scored more points than Diggs last season). To play devil's advocate though, Diggs did have an ADP of 9th overall, you did pick him 11th overall, and just two seasons ago he did finish in this league as the 2nd best scoring WR and 6th best overall scoring (non-Qb) player. Overall, certainly not a terrible pick in the second round, knowing his talent and potential, but not grabbing one of those top tier type running backs in either of the first two rounds "could" be very detrimental to where your team finishes this season. Time shall tell. No other pick in the second round shocked or surprised me at all.

I didn't know deebo's contract was so incentive laced. But for some reason I feel he will drop off this year a lot. Just a gut feeling and that is why I did not keep him in the Graveyard Hive in the 12th round.

That is why I drafted him in the 12th round last year in the Hive. Lets revisit this at the end of the year and I'm sure I'm right. He will still be okay but not even a top ten WR in fantasy. Good pick by you though. I would have taken him if you didn't. He will disappoint you.

Round 3My board for round number three with the 23rd pick was between: M.Evans, Zeke, D.Mont, K.Allen or M.Pittman. Considering that I just used high capital on a top tier WR in the 2nd round(Deebo), I wanted to to get my 2nd RB and ruled out the WR's on my board. I wanted Zeke or D.Mont as a RB in the third round, and Zeke was already gone, making my choice easy. Montgomery finished as the 17th best scoring RB in this league last season(missing 3+games), which lines up good as my 2nd Rb in a 10 team league. Keep in mind, just two seasons ago, he finished as the top 4 scoring Rb here (top 5 overall non-Qb). Dude's gonna get mad volume and potentially about 60+ receptions on top of all his carries. Don't believe the hype that last year's 6th round RB Khalil Herbert will take much work from the workhorse. Solid #2 RB. I'm happy with this pick. ---------------------------------------- As for the rest of everyone else's picks in the 3rd round: Sorry Divebitch , as this being my second time to put you my surprised list in another round, but can't promise it will be the last either, lol. I just call it like I see it. A rookie RB in Breece Hall (from the Jets of all teams), as your #1Rb kinda perplexes me a bit. I get that he was the 1st Rb selected in last draft, and heard all the rave reviews about how talented he is. Still though, he's an unproven commodity in the NFL and on a bad team with legit competition for work prob starting behind Michael Carter to open the season. IDK, but I think proven commodities on much better teams, such as the likes of at least one of Javonte Williams, Cam Akers, or Josh Jacobs (who were all still on the board for you) would've been a much safer pick for you as your #1rb. We'll have to revisit this after all said and done to see where Hall stacks up to the other Rb's I mentioned that you passed on. Hall was the 1st overall Rb taken in the draft with rave reviews of supreme type talent. Time shall tell. No other pick in the third round shocked or surprised me at all.

Round 4My board for round number four with the 38th pick was either: AJ Brown, J.Conner, A.Robinson or Marquise Brown. At this point in the draft, the only RB I was considering (Conner) in that round was already drafted, I was happy with both of my starting Rb's, so felt it was time to add a quality #2 WR for balance, especially knowing we need to start 3Wr's each week. As much as I do love A.Robinson this season, he's still the #2WR option for the Rams on a team with target monster Cooper Cupp. I couldn't see taking Robinson over either AJ Brown or Marquise Brown, who both are also on good offenses, and should both be the #1 Wr's on their respective teams to start the season, as opposed to Robinson being second option on Rams. I had a little bit of pause choosing between AJ Brown vs. Marquise Brown, but AJ's my boy now on the Eagles and I'm liking what I'm seeing from him and his connection with Hurts, so I chose my hometown boy. I was overly thrilled to still get Marquise Brown THREE rounds after this. That's for another round I'll talk about later. Very happy with AJ Brown as my #2Wr pick in this round. ------------------------------------------ As for the rest of everyone else's picks in the 4th round: Mister Lacy's pick of M.Pittman in this 4th round, just three picks before me, I thought was great value. So much so, that if Pittman was still there three picks later for me, I may have chosen him over AJ Brown in same round. BTW- Does "Mister Lacy" have an account here? Jeppers pick of Josh Jacobs in this round kinda pissed me off. Jacobs ADP was projected to be a round or two later where I was hoping to scoop him up. Rb's were running off the board at that point though and Jeppers made a savvy move and snatched him up appropriately. He's on a good offense and only fell (ADP wise) because of likely bogus fabricated trade rumor speculations. He ain't going anywhere and will still be the #1Rb to own on what should be a good offense. Kudos. I swear this is NOT on purpose, but Divebitch you're mentioned for the third time in my questionable category by picking Etienne in this round as your 2nd starting RB, after already picking the Jets rookie RB as your 1st starting Rb. Same argument as last round when I mentioned some of the other more established RB's still on the board that you passed on for this pick too in one of either (Javonte Williams, Cam Akers, or Josh Jacobs). Don't get me wrong, because I really have been on board with liking Etienne this season, and was actually seriously thinking about drafting him in the next round (5th) as my 3rd RB. But for you in the 4th round as your 2nd Rb is a bit iffy, especially now with the news that James Robinson should be ready to play possibly as early as week one. On the flip side, to play devil's advocate, Etienne was a big part of success on the same college offense of his then and now Qb Trevor Lawrence, who we expect to be better this season along with that entire offense following in his coattails, right? Trevor absolutely loves the kid who has his trust and should get peppered with targets all season long in a ppr league if they decide to utilize him properly. Not a terrible pick. Time shall tell. No other pick in the fourth round shocked or surprised me at all.

Round 5
My board for round number five with the 43rd pick was either: Etienne, Gabe Davis, Cam Akers, St.Brown or Cooks.
However, after the first four rounds, I still hadn't drafted my #3Rb/Flex, already had two stud WR's, and that's when I noticed the Rb pool was evaporating quickly and that I had to make a move on a Rb and forget about WR.
Etienne, Cam Akers, and Josh Jacobs were all already gone that I thought I'd still have a chance for at least one of in this round, so it was now my turn to dig a little deeper for the next best Rb available between Edwards-Helaire, Penny, Miles Sanders or Kareem Hunt.
I chose Penny because I know if healthy, he's the one that will get the most opportunity on his team and has proven that he's very good and coming off a healthy stretch run last season where he was one of the best in the league last quarter of games at the position. Happy with this value pick of Penny as my third RB in this round.
---------------------------------
As for the rest of everyone else's picks in the 5th round:
After sniping me for Pittman just a round earlier, Mister Lacy really pissed me off this round by drafting my target QB of Jalen Hurts, who I thought I could get in the following round (6).
Still though, I was able to get Aaron Rodgers three rounds later because people are scared he won't be as good without D.Adams, which I'll talk about later, so it may be a blessing in disguise for me. Time shall tell.
No other pick in the fifth round shocked or surprised me at all.

Round 6This is where I was hoping to draft my targeted Qb Jalen Hurts, but since I missed out on him, I surely wasn't to let my targeted TE Goedert get swiped from me next round so pulled the trigger to get my dude, who I think is going to have a monster season, btw. Totally happy with this pick. ------------------------- As for the rest of everyone else's picks in the 6th round: Once again in a recurring theme, I don't understand Divebitch , drafting a 2nd Qb in back-to-back rounds by picking Lamar after just picking Kyler Murray in the previous round. This shit is fucking bananas, which she should save for larryb instead of her draft board. Not sure what the excuse is or what happened to her this draft, but this isn't pretty at all and am unfortunately expecting more of the same going forward following this trend. packdog 's pick of DJ Moore was a good one, because I was expecting to have a chance at him in the following round, but not this round over Goedert for me. Still great value for a player I'm high on this season. Kudos. Lucky for me Marquise Brown was somehow still there for me next round as my third WR so it all worked out in my eyes. Jeppers pick of Brady in this round kinda pissed me off, because I was possibly targeting him after missing out on Hurts, but was expecting Brady to go 2-3 rounds later according to ADP, but can't fault Jeffb for pulling the trigger when he did on his starting QB, and I still got A.Rodgers two rounds later. No other picks in the sixth round shocked or surprised me at all.

Round 7My board for round number seven with the 63rd pick was originally thought to be either: Goedert, Shultz, Josh Jacobs, DJ Moore or Cooks. I already drafted my TE in Goedert a round earlier than originally expecting in previous round; Jacobs, Moore & Cooks were all gone. Geuss what though, my dude Marquise Brown, who I was considering as early as rounds 4-5 for my #2WR, was somehow still near miraculously there for me in the 7th, as my now 3rd WR. Slam dunk. Really happy with this pick. --------------------------------------- As for the rest of everyone else's picks in the seventh round: Really happy that Jeppers , who chose a WR (Hopkins) right before my pick , chose him instead of Marquise Brown on the same team. I would've chose Brown over Hopkins regardless of if he was still there. Will be interesting to revisit the type of season both of them have in comparison for sure. No other pick in the seventh round shocked or surprised me at all.

Round 8My board for round number eight with the 78th pick was originally thought to be either: Penny, Dameon Pierce or DeVonta Smith. Already drafted Penny earlier, no longer wanted DeVonta Smith since already had AJ Brown & Goedert. Lost out on my original QB target in J.Hurts(round 5), and here Aaron Rodgers is still sitting there for me three whole rounds later in this 8th round. Fun fact, most of us thought losing Adams would be bad for Rodgers in fantasy, but come to find out he's actually done better in fantasy games w/o... Qb's went a lot quicker than I thought some would, so I had to pull the trigger on Rodgers as my Qb at this spot. Very happy with this pick. --------------------------------------------------- As for the rest of everyone else's picks in the eighth round: What the heck happened to Miss Lacy here in this round, selecting Mecole Hardman, in the 8th round? Dude wasn't even projected to be drafted better than last round picks(if at all), but she drafted him in the 8th? Dude's fighting for position just to possibly be the 4th WR on the team, imo. Surely a head scratcher, especially considering the likes of Sutton, Jeudy, Julio, Mooney, Lazard and DeVonta Smith were all still available. This must have been some terrible type accidental pick and curious to the story. lol No other pick in the eighth round shocked or surprised me at all.

I've done eight rounds. That means that majority should already have their starters.
1 Qb, 2 Rb's, 3Wr's, 1Te and 1 Flex by this point = 8 selections
I feel I did well and got most players I was targeting without wasting any picks.
Good luck to all.

Eddie, I couldn't figure out how to stick anyone in the queue or actually draft anyone. After first 2 computer picks, I was frozen. I could finally pick guys to throw in the queue, but couldn't order them, a total mess. I never, ever, would've gone 2 WRs 1st 2 picks, much less 2 QBs back to back 5th and 6th. Etiene and Hall @ 3.10 and 4.1 also something I wouldn't have done, but TBH, this would've been a move I'd be more proud of for the Graveyard. Time will tell. This draft threw my season away. Should've taken your advice to heart and do a few mocks. Did that at 3 - 5 AM this morning, too late for that league.

Good reading Doc. Well...IMO. J Chase is the best wr in the league already. Correction J.Chase is one of the best WR's in the league. You better hope those old men you have behind him do something or you will be in trouble, he won't be able to save your ass from the fryimg pan all by himself.
