At the bequest of a couple peeps, the draft time has been moved from Sept 5 Mon at 3 PM EDT to a 1/2 hour later, 3:30 PM. There will still be plenty of time (2 hours) until the Yahoo league draft, which most of you are not in anyway. Jers, you have a 1.11. If you have anyone who can draft for you the 1st 2 rounds, and if we can get folks to take their time with each pick for the 1st few rounds until you get there, you should be able to make it by round 3, I'd imagine 5.11 at the latest. My only worry is that if you don't have anyone picking for you, the software will no longer let you pick when you show up after 2 rounds. Does anyone know for sure? ? Sincerely sorry if this inconvences anyone. Although I think many here will actually be happy about this.

I think it would be stupid by NFL.com not to allow guys to arrive late to a draft, that makes no sense what so ever if that's the case. I will preset at least 80 picks, that should buy me enough time to be able to join the draft when I arrive. Anyways, even if I'm allowed or not to enter the draft, I appreciate your effort and thanks for helping me out

No problem. And it makes no sense to me either. I just asked about it in Customer Service a few minutes ago, so we'll see soon hopefully. I've heard some software locks you out after you timeout twice. But thinking maybe I misinterpreted, and it will only let you time out twice before auto-picking. Like once you get back, and make your selection before your turn, the auto- is lifted. Hope that's the case.

Yeah, but nothing of that would make sense either, why would the software keep someone out of their own draft, even if you take multiple timeouts. I really hope that's not the situation, because that would potentially ruin so many drafts out there. Lets wait for the mods to answer you, hopefully we will get the answer we are looking for

Dive as LM you can also pause the draft. Lets say you want everyone there so they show up on time, Jersdal is going to be fifteen minutes late. You can pause it once it is about to start. So you could even start the draft at the regular time and then pause. That way if someone showed up for the earlier time they wouldn't think it doesn't work.

Well, the good news is the mod answered "As soon as the user logs in, he will take control of his team, with autopick turned off.
While the user is not there, it will autopick.
Thank you. "
Never paused a draft before. Totally forgot about that. Should I change it back? I think I better not. What we can do is take our sweet time round 1, and then pause b4 jersdals 1.11 pick? I mean we can't pause it for like 1/2 hour. Just say 'everyone take a 5 minute break'. He should be able to make his 3.11. If we pick slow, or maybe instead, just pause it before his 3rd pick. Cuz at that point, he should be home or shortly thereafter. And maybe a 10 minute break will be more appreciated by all to use the restroom, get a drink, go out on the balcony for a smoke (yay) or review the players left. Yeah, I like this idea better. lol

Do you know how to pause? I will find it and tell you. I know you can pause for up to 4 hours. So we should be good.

Yes they can. When the LM loads the draft client, you can click on MANAGE TOOLS on the bottom left of the draft client. You then can hit PAUSE to pause the draft. Hit resume to start the draft up again.
There that's how you do it.

Bottom left, eh? Craig, you have LM privies, right? You could stop it too I think. Should we pause at pick 1.11 or 3.11? I guess we'll ask folk once they get in the room. We'll pick as normally, instead of asking peeps to drag out their picks. Better a timed 10 minute break where you can totally walk away. If we pick 1.11, it might be for nothing. If we pause at 3.11, he could be getting home by then, or certainly within a 10 minute break.

Did he say when he would be there?
And when it is paused I'm not sure we can chat on that page. And that's the only page I have open during draft. I guess we will see.

Says it is set for 4:30 central time...which would make the draft at 5:30 eastern.

10 hours later… the NFL needs to look up the definition of "shortly"… Divey, did you frag their servers?

Jeff, that was changed Aug 14th, and not been touched since. Man, glad we did the NFL draft first. Any idea what time it went down? There were 100s of peeps in ALL the NFL forums freaking the ef out. Some were in money leagues. They were pisssssssed.
Imagine how bad that would suck. The last weekend/holiday before the draft, probably the biggest draft day of the year, and down all eveing until the wee hours of the morning. Just looking at what a PITA is was to finally nail a time down for 12 people. With no chance to reschedule before kickoff.
