Well, W Palm Beach, less than 20 miles north of me. One projected path was as far south as Miami, but it's looking like almost a bee-line. They were already outta gas at the 1st stop, Shell. Last stop before swamp is the Wawa on Atlantic and 441, with a line a block long, but it went fast (10 - 12 minutes) cuz they have like 24 pumps. Wait til Saturday, bet you spend a half tank of gas to find any. My Danny in Cape Coral (west coast, wtf) got the last 3 24-packs of water at Winn-Dixie, Walmart was already out. He was laughing at me last week that I had 100+ bottles. And it's been upgraded to a Cat 4 landfall, thanks to it missing Puerto Rico. That's terrible of me, I know. lol If there's any positive spin, it's been delayed til Sun night, with the worst of it Monday - so my 2 drafts Sun should be good to go. Plus my area is a whopping 12 - 15 ft above sea level, not a flood zone, believe it or not. OTOH, slow moving systems could mean a long stall over you. My first 'cane, should be... exciting. lol

I think this is all a plan to auto draft so you can have an excuse all year. Just kidding Bev. Be safe girl and keep us posted.

I got these 35 - 50 lb planters right out my balcony maybe 1 ft away from my screen in front of the aluminum roll-down storm shutters. Do you think I need to take the planters in? The 30 lb lemon grass in the fancy planter that I actually bought, I will gladly drag in, that plant is my baby. Any not-too-obvious advice? Working when, during the Sun drafts?!?

That's just one of the things I hate about where you are. Sounds like you're prepared to ride it out, be safe hopefully it won't be too bad.

Be safe Beverly. Praying for everyone in its path. On a brighter note I feel safe in knowing that if you do miss the draft my chances of getting dookie Johnson just went up 10%

I pretty much take everything in that’s not rooted to the ground.

That's just one of the things I hate about where you are. Sounds like you're prepared to ride it out, be safe hopefully it won't be too bad. Prepared to stay? Don't have any better options. Prepared for this hurricane, we shall see. Got lots of water, flashlights, food I don't have to cook, 7 buckets for wash and toilet water. The biggest question mark is the front windows, they are not impact windows. The whole balcony out back has roll-down storm shutters, so no worries there. Be safe Beverly. Praying for everyone in its path. On a brighter note I feel safe in knowing that if you do miss the draft my chances of getting dookie Johnson just went up 10% Thanks! And not necessarily if I pre-rank. I have no clue lol. I pretty much take everything in that’s not rooted to the ground. Ugh, I was afraid someone would say that. lol I'll start tomorrow, and hope Dorian runs away a little. I can't lift them, can only roll them, and it's over biggish rocks, so it ain't smooth.
