Son of a bitch there goes a wasted draft pick. In some ways I guess I can't blame him for doing it,if you don't have the heart to do it anymore then it's not worth doing.

I bet the Colts pick up whichever QB the Chargers drop. We play them week one. So far Cardell Jones and Easton Stick have looked better than Tyrod Taylor. We should trade Taylor to them now.

I'll repeat what I said at PSR.... [from an article]""The leg injury this year has apparently made him question his love for the game, and now he’s ready to walk away, in what may be the most shocking retirement in NFL history."
I kinda sensed he put up a valiant front of leadership and did everything the right way, but always sensed he wasn't all that excited. Sorry for all the people that already drafted. ;-P"
Always disliked an early draft, but wouldn't in my wildest dreams imagine something like this being why. I/we have a draft today in Jeffrey's league. Imagine if he made this announcement just 24 hours later. Luck, TY Hilton, Marlon Mack, Eric Ebron. Anyone else on the radar? Hmmmm, Devin Funchess coming off a lackluster season w/the Panthers. Probably a huge hit to his career at 25.

I think its best he did retire if he truly lost the passion to play. He's not the only player to walk away while still in his prime and most likely won't be the last.

You could be right, probably more to the story. IDK much about the Colts org, but you might've seen the thread at PSR. Some think they didn't do enough to protect him, bad o-line, etc. Maybe Luck was just being diplomatic, and not burning bridges. Others (not just me) also noticed a lack of passion. TBH, I never felt the passion from him since day 1. Like he is competitive for sure, but I sense it being more cerebral than loving the grind, locker room, etc.. IE, the antithesis might be Baker Mayfield, Kirk Cousins, or even Jameis Winston, who sucks.

Wow. I remember when the Colts drafted him. Made Peyton expendable and the whole sports world was talking about the next Joe Montana and HOF.
That may be the shortest stint in the NFL for such a hyped player in the history of the NFL.
