BIG CHEESY CONSTITUTION - final version, but subject to change hehe
Purpose:To play Fantasy Football at a competitive level, but mostly to have fun and lots of action. Every Team Owner is a vital part of that process and is essential to the success of the league.
From the League Manager & League Co-Manager:
The rules set in our constitution are designed to keep possession of this league in the hands of the owners. It is this league's philosophy that the owners control this league. We act as official record keepers. Should the need arise, We will act in the best interest of the League and not to one Owner's benefit.
Code of Conduct:
The code of conduct refers to the conduct of oneself pertaining to all aspects of the League. Any behavior deemed unacceptable and reported to the League Managers will be reviewed.
If behavior is determined to be detrimental to the health of the League, appropriate actions will be taken.
In the event one or both LM's are involved in a dispute then it will be brought before the Team Owners to review and make a ruling on the matter.
General Activity Level Requirements:
1.) It is expected each team member to be actively participating in talking to other people in the League, improving your team through trades,add/drops,roster changes, preparing for your draft & scouting players and responding to polls and making comments or suggestions to improve the League.
2.) If a team manager is inactive for 2 or more consecutive weeks ***EDIT: without notice***, the League has the right to find a suitable replacement. The option to replace must be agreed upon by both League Managers.
Trading Players & Draft Picks:
1.) In season trades will include players only. All trades that include draft picks must be done in the off season.
2.)Trading draft picks, you must have an equal number of picks from both teams( 2-for 2,3-for 3, etc).
Trade cannot allow any team to exceed 2 picks in the first round, 4 in the first 2 rounds or 7 in the first 5 rounds.
Keeper Rules and settings are as follows:
1.) Up to 3 Keepers (that are optional) must be declared 2 weeks or more prior to the draft date. Exact date will be set and announced along with draft date.
a.) Keepers may consist of any combination with a maximum of 1 QB, 2 RB's OR 2 WR's, 1 TE, 1 DEF, 1 K.
2.) The team will lose a draft pick of the same round in which the kept player was selected.
3.) A drafted player may be kept 1 time allowing him to be on a team roster for 2 consecutive years before he must be released or traded. A player traded for or acquired thru FA or WW after week 1 can be assigned the keeper tag up to 2 times allowing the new owner to have the player on their roster for 2 full years (essentially up to almost 3 years).
4.)If a team chooses to keep multiple players from the same round of the draft they will lose consecutive picks, starting with the round the players were drafted in.(i.e. draft 2 players in the 2nd round and keep both you will lose your 2nd and 3rd /next available round picks in the next draft).
5.) No team is eligible to have the same keepers more than 1 time in 4 years.(i.e. can not trade a keeper then trade back for that keeper within a 4 year period). However for example, you've kept a drafted player once and can no longer keep him. You may still draft that player again, but won't be able to keep him a 2nd time.
6.) Players kept from a FA/WW pickup are assigned the following values; QB/RB 5th round, WR 6th round, TE 7th round. DEFs and Kickers will be assigned a 12th round tag.
a.) If for example more than 1 is kept of RB off the WW or FA then 5th & 6th etc. is lost. Same applies for WR's & TE's.
b.) A player drafted and then dropped, and picked up again by the same owner that drafted him will retain their original draft round value. Similarly, if Player A drafts and drops, Player B picks him up, Player A may trade to get him back, and he will still retain that original draft round.
7)Draft position:
Your draft position each year will be determined by where you finish.
The bottom 6 teams are set the moment we finish the regular season. The top 6 teams on how they finish after the Playoffs. ***EDIT: Meaning the Toilet Bowl games don't count - the playoffs for the top 6 teams DO count towards your draft position.***
***Sorry, but I edited a bit, on a couple items that were ambiguous in the G-Y that were finally resolved. Thanks much for doing this Jeffrey!
