Lemme start out by saying, the 'pts for' tiebreaker is #1 at Yahoo with no other choice. The NFL leagues, IDK if their new default was even a choice prior to last year, but they switched it to head to head and made it the default. This came as a huge surprise to some after a few weeks - like why were they trailing others in the rankings when they'd scored more points with the same W-L record? NFL pulled a fast one. There was an initial outcry by some to change it back right away. Then a few others felt that it should be left the way it is for at least last season, and I agreed - reluctantly, although knew it was the only right thing to do. But a couple people felt the H2H thing was actually superior, as it mimicked the NFL, and I promised a vote. Personally, I don't feel FF is the same as real life NFL as we don't pit our starting line-up up against our opponents, as they don't affect what what our players will do against the players' own real life matchups. We fix our sit/start depending on how many points our players might get vs. their own matchups. That's only MHO. But I promise to abide by the majority vote. Thanks!

The points for is a fair criteria to me, at least in terms of fantasy football. No problem.

The points for is a fair criteria to me, at least in terms of fantasy football. No problem. Well, it's always been 'points for' at both Yahoo and NFL. We just discovered what NFL had done before week 5. When I renewed the league, didn't pay much attention to the settings, as I've ran the same league 3 previous years with few (if any) scoring settings changes. FTR, you're not in that league, but all comments are welcome.

I voted. I always like the points for. That is my goal when I set my line up, to score as many as I can. I can't send my defense out to stop the other team.
I don't set my line up according to the players my opponent has, I set my lineup by the best on my team that week. I have no control of my opponent. Winning head to head is just luck of the draw that week.

Ooops, sorry about that. LOL. This mobile app keeps playing its tricks on me, as I can see the thread title but not always the area where the thread is at. Glad you welcomed my two cents on it, though.

I hated the ridiculous head to head scenario we had in the GY league last year wherby you didnt really understand where you were in the rankings until it actually got to the playoffs. Points for is by far the best option IMO

I agree Neil. Well, it was the same in my league. It was absolutely positively impossible to determine where you might finish if, say, you were in a 3 or 4 way tie. Here's an example in the Graveyard...
Me, ADB, and Terry finished 8-5. Points for: 3rd place - Terry, 1236 pts 4th place - ADB, 1259 pts 5th place - me, 1400 pts
So Terry gets to play the 6th place 7-6 team, plax - who only coincidentally was no great bargain, as plax had 1340 pts. So on paper, I was actually better off playing ADB with 1259 pts. lol It all turned out not to matter cuz I would've lost to plax, and Terry would've lost to ADB anyway. But that's also coincidence, it could've turned out very different.

Well I spent the weekend digging in my garden. I haven't planted one in quite a few years and I had to dig out all the grass and weeds. Boy am I sore. I am just going to go buy veggies from now on. I feel pretty old. My GF is doing good by the way. Brain injuries are weird. She is slower than before but is SO much happier. Strange. She also has not had a cig or a beer in seven months since the accident. Just has absolutely no desire to. Hows you BF?

Glad to hear Marlene is good. You've said before I think that she is happier but maybe slower. Was thinking she'd have gotten back to before by now. But IDK how that stuff goes. But the lack of desire for a cig or booze has got to be a great thing.
Danny is good, thanks for asking. Strangely, leg neuropathy is recently doing better after a few years. Funny, we are into growing our own stuff, but it's off the balcony. Just planters with basil, tomatoes, and peppers. A few failed harvests like radishes, limited on cilantro. hehe
