This is a ripoff from my Graveyard league, and almost 11 months old. My resume is pretty long, both in & outta the workplace. Don't know where to begin... Grew up in Bronx, NYC, moved to Chicago after college (SUNY at Stony Brook (Long Island NY), that's when I first truly discovered the NFL - the Bears and that Superbowl Shuffle. Moved to Seattle 2002, finally landing in Philly, as my family is here & in NJ. Bookkeeper from 16 - 20 yrs old (but mostly 16 - 18 b4 I went away to LI), inventory control, pricing, bookeeping up to GL) involved a lot. Junior Underwriter 1st job after college. Chicago...13+ years as a construction news reporter, almost 3 years a mainframe applications programmer for (Arthur) Andersen until the Enron debacle ended that. Fun stuff... There is tons of this, thankfully, and I'll try to categorize... 1) Scuba diving, surprise surprise. Got over 500 dives under my weight belt. All over the Bahamas, Caribbean, Keys, Hawaii, Fiji, Thailand/Burma, and the balmy 40F waters off Quadra Island off British Columbia, Canada. 2) Skiing - All over WI, MI & MN, US & Canadian Rockies (Colorado, Whister/Blackcomb, BC) , Sierras (NV/CA), Montana, Innsbruk Austria, Switzerland. Also trips to Copenhagen & Germany (Munich & Berlin), but no skiing there) 3) Horseback riding - Went to many dude ranches out west (wyoming & Colorado) & midwest and won a red ribbon in barrel racing once. Missed my calling. 4) Poker - Omaha hi/lo is my fave. Gimme anything but NLHE (no limit holdem) I live with my....boyfriend/S.O./domestic partner ( ) Danny. We've raised 1 daughter, Jazzi the squirrel. A bit of a role reversal. We have to jockey for TV time on the big screen. Oh, just started FF last year (fall '09). Feel free to post pics. BTW, many of us here already know all ths stuff about each other, but many new peeps here.

I also went back to the original graveyard pro board and found the who are you thread. That one is spectacular. The pictures from NJC, Jersdal, and you Dive are very cool. Here is all I wrote.
Where I live 10 miles east of San Diego, it use to be horse and cow country. It was when I bought this house in 1985. It was a great place to raise my three kids. Now it is all built up with freeways, shopping malls, houses and people who moved here. As soon as the market comes back even a little I want to sell and move. Looking at your pictures and reading makes me want to move more. I hardly ever go to the beach anymore except to see my mom.

I go by Blitzburg here but am known as Steelers 1954 on the NFL forums.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania but moved to South Carolina back in 1997 because of my job.
Married to my wonderful loving wife for 37 years now have 2 children a daughter who will be 32 this year and my son who will be 21 later this year.
Also have 2 grandsons Kadin 7yrs. and Nate (for short) 1 yr.old both have brought great joy into my life.
The Steelers are my main team but I do have quite a few others that I like. Started playing ff in 2010 my son got me started into it.
Back in 2004 fell and broke my back and can no longer work because of it. Just hate when some of the jerks on the forum tell ya get a job instead of being on the internet all the time if they only knew.
Used to go fishing all the time back in PA. and bowled in a couple of leagues had my avg. up to around 190 before I came down south sadly I can no longer do either one because of my back problems.

My bf suffers from some of that same stuff, so would not appreciate that. Just that most of the guys on NFL are probably under 25 and have no clue as to the afflictions of what some and perhaps themselves may well run into in the next 25 years.

You shouldn't take that personally, because like you say, "they don't know the situation"
That's to bad you can't bowl or fish. I used to bowl a lot. But I think my best average was about 165 or 170. My ex wife bowled a 299 once. Missed the last pin.
What kind of fishing? Ocean I'm thinking as that takes a lot of stregnth. I like lake fishing but haven't done that in a long time either. I get sea sick on boats that smell like diesel. I can bob up and down on a surf board all day but put me on a boat and Baaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrf.

Fished in quite a few of the lakes that were around where we used to live& fished in the streams as well at least those that had them. Fished once from the shore at Lake Erie.

I am born and raised in Ontario but did live in Missouri for a year... can't believe you guys don't go trick or treating down there. I'm 16 so you guys better not be on the roads near my place, licensed driver and my real name is Nathan (no I'm not blitzburg's son). My main hobbies are football, soccer and FF... play on my highschool team as a CB or S... kinda been switching back and forth between the 2 but I like playing corner better. Been asked to play on the city's rep team or something like a summer league playing other cities but don't know if I can do that this year. I don't know... what else am I suppose to say here?

I have also copied and pasted from our GY league so here we go
I am Neil
Born and bred in Leeds which is in the county of West Yorkshire in England, UK.
I am 41 in May and am married with 2 young kiddies, Joseph 3 years and Ava 1 year.
I played football (soccer) to a decent standard till i was 35 then stopped playing due to a long term back injury plus numerous other minor injuries that come with playing sport for 25 years. I love skiing (although not done it for 3 years now since my wife fell preggers with Joseph)
I am an avid wildlife watcher and more specifically birdwatcher and have been since my mid 20's.
I am a qualified fitness instructor and used to work in the fitness/leisure industry for nearly 20 years till I decided on a career change 3 years ago and moved in to primary school work. I am now a Learning Mentor which involves working with children that have social, emotional and behavioural issues and hopefully by working with them through their problems they are able to access classroom settings again without those problems cropping up anymore. Rewarding work but hugely underpaid.
I played American Football for 2 years when I was 16 for a team called the Leeds Cougar Cubs as a wide receiver. I was fast and could catch but when I turned 18 I wasnt meaty enough to step up to the adult team so I stopped playing and concentrated on my soccer instead.
I am a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge fan of rock music with my idol being Mr Bruce Springsteen. i have seen the man over 10 times in concert. Awesome!!!! I also love The killers and Bon Jovi too, oh and also Ed Sheeran and Maverick Sabre
Erm anything else............I am currently studying with the Open University ( a distance learning university) towards a degree in BA honours in Humanities with English Literature. Should complete in 2 years where i may be able to go on to become a teacher proper.

Hey Jeff I hear that there are some monster Carp over in the US but that you guys dont really fish for them, preferring to fish for more predatory fish instead using spinners, spoons and plugs. Is that true cos over here carp fishing is ferking HUGE. Its kinda taken over all other types of fishing now. I love carp fishing, especially casting out a lump of bread or a dog pellet and fishing on the surface with no kind of indicator like a float etc. Its just a case of waiting till that huge mouth appears from n owhere and sucks in your offering and wham!!!! the fight begins. God I miss fishing. I used to go every couple of weeks but since the kiddies have come along I've not been once. Likewise with golf. I used to play every couple of weeks and got my handicap down to around 10-12 but only manage to get out every couple of months now so as a result I now play off 20 or even worse. I love my kids but you have to stop doing so many fun things to raise them. I just cant wait till the day they are old enough to come fishing with me, or camping. i took joe camping for one night at the end of summer last year. just me and him. It was great. He helped me put the tent up, well he passed me 2 pegs then sat on his arse inside the tent pretending he was the gruffalo inside a cave LOL but then we spent a couple of hours playing on the playground or kicking a ball around before we went to bed and i read him loads of stories till he fell asleep. Priceless!!!

i am Corn Dog am i late to the party? My real name is David. I live in good ol' NC What would you like to know? ------------------------------- njc - we do not fish for Carp. We consider them an annoyance actually. The only fun way to fish for Carp is bow fishing... we do like to fish that are harder to catch- and more aggresive... that is true. in the US carp are used in cheap chinese restaurant ponds for decoration....

My nick name is shaggz fate, no its not from scooby doo, but honestly these days i wish it was. Back in 7th grade i had a thing for ICP when they first came out.... so i got the nickname and it stuck, problem is, after about a year i grew a strong dislike for ICP music, must of been an awkward phase. Thankfully i am back to my hard rock / heavy metal. Big 5 for me is Motley Crue, Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera and Slipknot.
I've also worked as maintence since i dropped out of high school in 2001, so i've had a full career, its also a big reason why my back is bad now is because how long i was working hard labor jobs. If you guys ever have questions about general handy man things i'd be willing to help.
I've played FFL for 7 years, most of which has been in a keeper league with a bunch of family friends for that duration, have been in various public leagues the first few years, fell out of like with them due to the inactivity, have also had leagues across yahoo espn and offline. Really love dynasty idp, its the way of the future, and any ff player that really loves the game needs to atleast give it a go for a few years. Yes its hard at first getting use to all the new positions, but completely worth it, its what FFL is suppose to be.
Currently i am still working part time, and have started school online to get my sports marketing and media BA. I really am excited for the possibility to get into the business and be more then just a fan.
Also from New Mexico... Sorry to hear that one almost-troll is from here too, i always hate when people give my home area a bad name like that one does.

Shaggz, what is ICP music? Yeah, that's 1 great thing to come out of NFL.com. Who would've thought 2 years ago when the forums were in their infancy that so many friendships would be forged, thus ensuring that we'll know what we're getting when throwing a new league together, or dumping the inactives for known quantities?
In 4 of my leagues last year, there was only 1 inactive out of 48, who I dumped after week 4. A 5th league was thrown togther last minute, and I joined cuz I liked the LM (jerkstore), but he let anyone in and set the draft for 'same evening' or such. We had 3 complete no-shows, and 3 or 4 people talked. Such fun (not).

ICP is a lame band (IMO now) Insane clown posse, they are vulgar just to be vulgar, they use to be edgy and taboo, but once that went away so did their novelty for me, also they are rap, and i ended up have a strong distaste for it after my last gf anyways

Guess it does sound pretty lame as a target audience of shock jock lovers if the music is no good. Guess we all go thru our phases, eh?
