I'm super excited about the Eagles picking up DeVonta Smith. At first, I was worried about his size/frame.
He's certainly tall enough at 6'1", however he's genourosly listed at 175 lbs, when he's more likely 165-170 lbs.
Nevertheless, dude caught 117 passes for over 1,800 yards and 23 TD's last season. That's in a college league that is the best, going against the best CB's and defenses, and also with his fellow WR teammate Waddle going down early in the season and defenses focusing solely on trying to stop him, which they could not.
I think we hit a homerun on that pick. First off, we moved back in the draft from 6 to 12, gaining a 1st rd pick in next years draft, and still got the Heisman winner/blue chip player in Smith. We had to move up two picks from 12 to 10 to do so because the NYG were likely to draft Smith before us, but we only had to give up a 3rd round pick to do so while still keeping that extra 1st rd pick from MIA.
He's got a comparison to Marvin Harrison. I'm stoked.

Surprises?
I'm pretty surprised that CINCY passed up on LT Penei Sewell to grab WR Ja’Marr Chase.
I mean, I'm hearing that Chase is better than his former fellow WR teammate in Justin Jefferson, who finished with a near historic type rookie season as a WR last year with 88 rec for 1400 yds/7td's.
Still though, they just drafted Joe Burrow, who is supposed to be the next big QB prospect since Andrew Luck, and dude got murdered last season because their offensive line was horrible.
They already had two very respectable Wr's in Tee Higgins & Tyler Boyd? Head scratcher as far as I'm concerned.
I don't care how good your QB is, or how many weapons he has around him if his offensive line is terrible.
There's a reason why the Bengals have been so bad for so long. This is why.

How about Aaron Rodgers coming out on draft day saying he wants NO PARTS of being in GB anymore? packdog? That certainly changes things around. Devante Adams, big downgrade. Maybe even Aaron Jones. Packers GM says they have no interest in trading Rodgers, but I feel he holds out if they don't.

I like the Chargers pick. We needed a left tackle to go with our other new linemen. We have all new line.

Yeah, I feel that was a safe pick in Slater, who was projected as the 2nd best offensive lineman in the entire draft. He can play anywhere on the offensive line too, which makes him extra valuable.

I'm going to predict the next pick for Philly.
CB Asante Samuel Jr, CB Kelvin Joseph, or one of two LB's in either Baron Browning or Jabril Cox, all of which I'd be happy with.

QB Justin Fields to CHI? Upgrade over Dalton, right? Better for Allen Robinson? IDK, but CHI is a place QB's go to die. lol

Maybe I'll kick back, leave this shit alone, and just continue to kick all your asses in FF.

Unless the Chargers trade up in the draft(currently 47th overall), Eagles pick first(37th overall).

Why am I even trying to prop up a site that never had activity in the first place, especially when Beverly comes here on her own site and doesn't say a word. lol?
I guess I'm just wasting time. haha
This should be interesting, but I'll continue to try and breathe some life into this place, albeit probably all for naught.

Not much going on as usual in the early part of the 1st round but things did start to heat up with the trades.
I liked that the Eagles got the WR.
Craig you guys got one of the steals in the draft getting that O-Lineman.
I think the Gaint's did well trading with the trade with the Bears was great, the Gaint's get a 1st in next years draft plus picks this year.
Really liked that the Steelers pick taking the RB.

Loved how Hammering Hank Bauer did not say Los Angeles Chargers. Just the Chargers. Hammering Hank was one of my favorite players when I had tickets. He won special teams player of the year a lot. He once made something like sixty tackles on special teams out of sixty five plays. He was awesome.
We'll take Assante.
