You asked to pump up the defense a little so how bout this.
The way it is now
Defense/Special Teams:
Sacks: 1 point Interceptions: 2 points Fumbles Recovered: 2 points Fumbles Forced: 2 points Safeties: 2 points Touchdowns: 6 points Blocked Kicks: 1 point Kickoff & Punt Returns: 1 point per 20 yards Kickoff & Punt Return Touchdown: 6 points
Changes: Defense/Special Teams:
Sacks 2 points Interceptions 3 points Fumbles Forced 2 points Fumbles Recovered 3 points Safeties 3 points Touchdowns 6 points Blocked Kicks 2 points Kickoff & Punt Returns 1 point per 15 yards Kickoff & Punt Return Touchdown 6 points
Doesn't seem like much but it should give a little more to the defenses.

Here's where the extra pts will come from.... 3 - 4 sacks, 1 int, 1 FR, .5 - 1 pt RYs. Safeties happen maybe 3 times a year, blocked kicks 6 - 8 (?). Anyway, I love it! Here's an idea (and wait for next season to start to do this)... Take note of how the top and bottom 5 DEF (and a couple in the middle) did this year. Then plug in the new settings, and compare. I believe but not 100% sure, a previous seasons stats will be changed. My guess is the DEF gets boosted around 20 - 25%, kinda what we're looking for, right?
