Wholly crap I just saw the rat run from behind the fridge to under the stove. I've only heard him, never saw him. It's on now. Like I said I hate rats and mice. I would truly rather fight Mike Tyson. I have goose bumps. I have been rebaiting four traps every day and he gets the bait out of three of them and leaves the old fashion one alone.
Tomorrow, I go to the sporting goods store and buy a shot gun!
Seriously its glue traps, and poison tomorrow.
If that don't work I'm going to hire someone. I CAN NOT LIVE WITH A RAT IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!!!!!!
Marlene is questioning my hunting skills. I would not be good on naked and afraid I guess.

This is the smartest, most skill full rat I have ever encountered. I guess I will have to try and poison him. Hate to do that due to not knowing where he dies but I'm at my wits end.
I have five snap traps, one old fashion rat trap, and four glue traps. I have glued the dog food kibble he loves so much down with a base of peanut butter. He eats the dog food and leaves the PB. Knows if the has to step on the trigger to eat the PB he will die. Also seems to know to go around the glue traps and not to go after the dog food on the glue trap.
I'm convinced he is smarter than me. I bet if I try poison he will somehow get my dog to eat it instead of him. I'm scared of him. I hope its a him. If its a her I'm sure she has a hundred babies by now.
This is really fucked up.

I GOT HIM. He's in a glue trap. I kind of feel sorry for him. Does that make me a little girl?
He was a worthy competitor.

One of the traps kibble is gone. UGH I think he may have a girlfriend. If so I will hear her tonight soon. It's possible I didn't rebait that one, but I think I did.

I'll never never forget. I watched the second one hit and then the pentagon on my TV. It was early in the morning on my day off and Mar's son lived with us and woke me up and said a plane hit the tower. We turned on the tv and watched in horror. I worked at legoland and they called me and said don't come to work until further notice. The next several days there was no air traffic at all and the world outside my house was strangely quiet.
The world changed that day. When Legoland did reopen I had to go thru security to enter and I was an employee who had worked there for over two years at the time. I started work at 4am and they had people like TSA there as I came thru the gate with my "passport" they called it. My passport was a card that opened all doors and gates. I had top clearance. The guests had to go thru the same.
life changed that day. Our innocents and trust was gone.

Getting old sucks for some people. Some people do better than others. My mom is not one who is doing it gracefully. The dementia/Alzheimer's is so sad. The indignity of pooping all over the place and such is beyond sad. She went to the hospital for a few days and is back in her nursing home. I spent three hours with her today and she surprised me with her questions and conversation. Usually, she is just mean and yelling. Today she was calm and asked me about my childhood. Asked what was my favorite time in my life. She listened as I pondered and answered. She said things like "did you have a minibike?" well yes I did and I told her how much fun I had as a child, with my minibike, horse, and playing little league baseball.
She asked me if I remember living in Oregon and described the house she lived in and the field across the street. She described it in great detail. She moved from there when she was ten years old. Can't remember what she said five minutes ago but remembers her friends' names and her house when she was ten.
It's fascinating. We had the greatest talk today I have had with her in fifty years.
Thanks for letting me express. Sometimes its feels good to just type out what I'm thinking.

Maybe I'm talking to much but I trust you guys. Not like PSR.
My mom was a dynamic real-estate broker back in the day. She was the go to person for the Chargers players. That's how I got to know them. She did other business stuff later and made millions. When my fourth step father died there was a trust. It had six million dollars in it.
My mom developed a gambling addiction. She gambled in high roller rooms with people like Marine O'Conner who I think went to jail for robbing her charities or something. Anyway, my mom is a very left-wing politician. VERY. She hob knobbed with lots of politicians and athletes. I didn't see her much as a kid but she provided really well. We had Maria to cook, clean, and live with us and Jose to do the yard. I loved Maria, she made the best mexican food I have ever had. One day she never came back because she was caught at the border after visiting her family.
Her gambling cost her millions of dollars. She's still got her condo at the beach that she rents to an actress in some housewives of some city show. And she still has her Jack in the box in Oregon franchise. That income almost pays for the $5000.00 a month to provide for her now.
Elderly care is way way expensive.

Try not to dwell on some of the things happening to her but enjoy every second you have with her an these moments where she surprise's you. It's good that she still remembers you & who you are. When my dad was still living with us he would see things that only he could see an I remember we had to remake his bed almost every morning because some woman told him to take them off his bed. At times my dad would also talk about stuff that I knew nothing about. It was heartbreaking to see the confusion in my dads eyes when he looked at me trying to figure out who I was yet he remembered Linda. I was shocked at how fast my dad went down hill. They transfered him from the hospital to the nursing home in early October an before thanksgiving or shortly after he was gone so be prepared if your mom suddenly gets worse. That's what were are here for my friend. You know I'm here if you want/need to talk I'm just a phone call away.

Just watch another Herbert dissecting video of his rookie year. You know what is so impressive about him? Besides being 6'6" 240 lb's and run a 4.40 forty? His football IQ is off the charts. He is so smart he sees everything. He not only played football in college but he also got a degree in BIOLOGY and PHYSICS! Straight A's. He's one talented, smart dude. I hope his ribs are okay. [/img] Its amazing how all the scouts and experts got it wrong. This kid has the potential to be the GOAT at the end of his career. I just hope the Chargers and Spanos don't waste his career.

Happy Beverly is safe in Florida.
Update on my rats. They were driving me literally out of my mind. I tried everything. Spent money on traps, glue, electrocution devices. Nothing worked. So hired a rat dude. On the phone he said it sounds like I have an infestation due to a pregnant female getting in and having babies and they are now teenagers. Said it would be $400.00-$600.00 for him to get rid of them not guaranteed to work. I told him "Lets do it"
He came out and was one of the coolest humans I have ever met. About 50 years old. Inspected my situation and said he does not see evidence of an infestation, just some rats. Said "do you want me to tell you what to do or do it for you?" "If I tell you what to do it will save you lots of money and it will work"
So he spent about an hour and a half educating me on what to do and what materials to do it with. Gave me a few of the glue traps he had and charged me $50 bucks. I gave his $60. He said he normally charges $160 for an inspection. The dude thinks like a rat and I told him so. He laughed and said "I've been told that before"
So I ordered the "Gluee Louee" glue traps on Amazon. 30 of them. Thinking I would not ever need that many. He showed me how to trim the edges and how to place them. So I built a wall that would make Trump proud. 15 feet long on the base of my kitchen counters. These suckers are the hardest material to work with I have ever used, and I've built pools. They stick to everything, If I had a video of me setting them up and removing one with a rat in it and taking it to the killing ground outside it would go viral. Way funnier than Lucy and the chocolate conveyor belt. It was not easy on my heart though. My heart rate must have gone to 150 during the extraction, killing period. I'm winning and may have already won. I will find out tonight if I hear any more. I haven't slept much in two weeks battling this. Fuck rats. They are so smart these days.
Oh the rat guy puts a board over the rat in the glue and steps on it until he hears a crack. That freaked me out and didn't want to do that. I filled up a five gallon bucket two thirds of the way and drop the rat and trap in and put the lid on. ITS SO GROSS. Then I fish them out and take them to the trash. Carrying them from the kitchen to the killing ground outback is an adventure as they are alive but stuck. They fight.
Well I'm hoping I got them all. Gonna stay up again tonight to listen and watch. My story does not even come close to describing the glue traps. They stick to my gloves with the rat in it. They stick to the side of the bucket. They stick to the side of the trash can. They stick to Marlenes shoe when she steps on one.

Keep the traps out, peanut butter and all. Cracking a rat, ewww... beyond disgusting, but if that's what it takes. Really, if you know it's gonna die anyway, seems a little sick. Maybe a quicker death?

The Padres eliminating the Dodgers was totally amazing. My nephew took his dad to the game. It was an amazing game.
so this goose landed on the field in game three in LA. The padres won and have adopted the goose as our good luck charm.

The funny part is they kept playing. Our closer Hader came in after the goose landed and pitched an out in the eighth and closed the game out. A four out save. The last time the padres had a four out save was GOOSE Gossage in like 1980 or something. So people say Goose showed up.
