Wow a plane crashed into two houses two blocks from me. One of the wings fell off and hit a UPS truck and the driver of that truck has died. Not sure if anyone was in the houses.

Small plane? No doubt the pilot died as well. I have a private airport less than 1/4 mile from me. We have a little airport a few miles away also but this had nothing to do with that. It's really crazy. There is video of it. The neighbor went and broke a window and got the elderly lady out who's hair was on fire. The old man was in the back yard and got knocked unconsious. The neighbor saved him also. The dude is a hero. The pilot died as did the UPS guy. The dog somehow got out "we think" and everyone is looking for her. Three houses burned. It's crazy. My cousin lives right there. She is okay. The flames were huge. It was a small plane. Makes you realize what a big plane like 911 could do.

Cut the backyard on Friday then cut half the yard by the driveway on Saturday. Took Sunday off an finally finished the rest today. I like cutting the grass but I'm getting too old for this, like the old saying the mind is willing but the body isn't..

Oldest grandson is getting into bowling so I gave him a couple of bowling balls that were my dads. Which he took an had the holes plugged and redrilled to fit his fingers.
He wanted me to go with him an give him some advice on the right way to bowl.
Now that he's older an hanging out more with his friends not often he wants to hang out with Papa so I was more than happy to spend some time with him. Probably won't get that many chances to spend time with him alone so I'll take what I can get at this point.
I let him drive the back way to the bowling alley (Doesn't like driving on the freeway yet)an after we were done he took me out to eat at FireHouse Subs. He hasn't driven much but he did really good.

That's awesome. How old is he? My oldest grand child is 20. I spent time with her and my son (her dad) last Sunday. She shocked me that she is going to be a pilot. She showed me pictures of her flying a little plane. Bowling is fun and I use to be in a leagues every year. My ex once bowled a 299. She was really good and left handed. Had real nice form if you know what I mean. She had all strikes until the last ball. The whole bowling alley was watching because they were all in our league. She threw a good ball and the ten pin wabbled but stayed up. It was so fun. I'm glad he wanted to do something with you. My 20 year old GD always is anxious to do stuff with us. The younger ones not so much. I have five.

Seems like yesterday I was holding him in my arms an now he will be 18 in December an will be a senior this coming year, does really well in school an overall a good young man. I've build a pretty good bond with all 3 of my grandchildren an enjoy spending time with them whenever I can.
My other grandson is 11 ( loves playing video games)and the youngest my granddaughter is 7 (she likes to go fishing).
You'll get a kick out this. My granddaughter called her Gigi (what they call my wife) one day an said momma doesn't know how to play can you come over my house an play with me. I keep telling the wife to enjoy it now while she can cause the day will soon come when our granddaughter will be too busy with other things and won't have the time to spend with her Gigi.
Agree bowling is fun but haven't done much of it since hurting my back, used to be pretty good at it (averaged 180-190) an bowled in a couple leagues. Had a lot of fun going to the local tournaments an the big one we went to in Ohio every year.

So your GD call your wife Linda 'Gigi'? Gosh, my best bowling score was like 127, and I was in my teens - and probably cheating. lol Pathetic.

so my money league lost a guy for the first time in about ten years. I hope he is alive. We are all trying to contact him with no luck. He lives in Arizona. Anyway I had to replace him because, well just because.
Marlene suggested I invite my son in law Vinu. He's a Steeler fan as he was born in Pittsburg. His father has moved back to India and he is of Indian descent. He is super smart. He is one of the biggest muckity mucks at Intuit, turbo tax. He quit that job about two years ago and now helps people do startups of some kind. He also helps my daughter with her "Her Waves" business where she sells women's surf apparel and art. Does amazing well.
so back to my story of Vinu. I called him and they were out to dinner. I asked him if he would like to join our league. My daughter said "hes into soccer now" "he doesn't know football anymore" My daughter once played soccer in London and is totally into it. Vinu has had to adapt to her sport. hahahaha The dude jumped on to it so fast and was totally excited to participate. He entered the league instantly and made his team's name and logo in a few minutes. Says he can't wait for the draft.
I'm going to steal him back from my daughters grip on him for soccer. haha he will get red zone I guarantee it when I'm done with him. I'm so happy he is so excited. He has text me five times already and he had not text me for three years. I'm loving the bonding I'm doing with a Steeler fan, son in law.
Oh yeah and I'm scared at how smart he is. My daughter said "he hasn't kept up with American football, but he will research it like you have never seen before". I believe her.

I have a friggin rat living in my kitchen and dinning room area. I've had rat bastards come in before in my 35 years living here and I have several traps. I always got them within a day. This rat bastard has apparently evolved in smarts to know what a rat trap looks like and he won't do it. I'm offering peanut butter, dog kibble, and cheese. He eats the dog kibble every night out of her bowl. I can hear him in the cabinets in the kitchen at night. I hate rats and mice with a passion. I'd rather fight Mike Tyson than confront a rat. [/img] Not actually in the cabinets. Under the stove. I think he is chewing the wires.

Not actually in the cabinets. Under the stove. I think he is chewing the wires. That's crazy cause I went through some of the same exact shit about 15 years ago. Someone kicked in my back basement door when me and the wifey were out trying to rob the place. I must've got home right after they just broke in, because I heard low voices like a tv was on when I walked through the front door. I walked around and noticed my back door in the kitchen was cracked open. That's when I grabbed a large knife from the cabinet and went through the house, knowing I most certainly didn't leave my kitchen door cracked in Philly when out, nor anywhere else for that matter, but ESPECIALLY in the city. Was it a smart idea to walk around with a knife in my hand walking through the house? Na, that wasn't a good idea. Should've just went out front and called the police, but me and police weren't exactly on friendly terms back when. Thankfully never saw anyone and nothing was stolen. Anyways, when they kicked in my basement door, it wasn't an immediate easy fix by any means. The frame of the door was now on crumbling concrete after kicked in, and couldn't get nobody out right away to fix it, so did my best on my own to bolt the door back in place as temporary fix. That fix was great to make sure nobody was getting back in through that door again, but left small gaps on both sides of the door in the meantime, and that's all it took for a pack of rats to move in. What a fucking nightmare. Chewing wires you say? Yeah, that's how I realized there was a problem in the first place. Went to turn on garbage disposal and it wasn't getting power. Checked under the sink and saw that the power cord connecting to adjacent cabinet was chewed through so to gain access into next cabinet through small hole where power cord previously was. Like you said, laid down bunch of traps and caught 2-3 large ones. However, the big daddy set off a trap and it didn't kill him, and he became hip to the game like you said. Motherfuckers are much smarter than prob half humans on this planet of zombie brains, lol. I even went to buying a non-lethal cage trap, but it wouldn't go for ANY of the bait I put in there, just like you said. I was renting the house and my lease was up that month. I fucking moved, lol.

OMG, I suffered for years in Philly with mice, never rats. Shit for brains exterminator (worked for the bldg mgmt) would always come and fix one hole, declaring he'd found it, but there like 10 more holes he missed. My apt was 2nd floor right over the garbage out back. But they had mice at the 10th floor. Must have caught like 75 - 100 mice in the 5 years before moving to the 5th floor. Disgusting. I'm shocked and pleased to say that in 3 years, 3 month in FLA, I've not see one rodent. Just 1 huge cockroach in my bathroom (better than kitchen).
