I think there's more to Big Ben's injury than their letting on. There's only so much you can blame on the young offensive line, the biggest blame should be but on Ben. Even when the o-line gave him time he was throwing the ball over the receivers heads. Tomlin can say all he wants it time to sit Big Ben down. He can't move around in the pocket or shrug guys off like he used to and he can't get the ball to receivers when they are open. Who else you guys got? Is Rudolf the back up? Maybe you can trade us for our third guy Easton Stick. I always liked him a lot when I got to see him play. He's big, strong, smart, can run. And he's young. I think he could be almost another Herbert (well not quite) in hiding. Yeah M.Rudolph is the #2. Now Ben has a hand injury to go along with the pectoral & hip injuries. If they do sit Ben at some point they need to design the offense around the strengths of whichever QB they play.

I know that the Steelers offensive line is not the best an they did make some changes but they need to do more to help whoever is the starting QB. Offensive line aside the Steelers have more than enough talent on the offense the problem is not Mitchell Trubisky the OC needs to do a better job of calling plays an getting the most out of the talent they have.
The first 2 weeks TE Pat Freiermuth was a big part of the offense but last night wasn't involved much until the 4th quarter again I lay the blame on the OC. There's talk that OC Matt Canada is on the hot seat an rightly so, with Big Ben gone he was supposed to be able to fully run his system the way he wanted this year. Mitchell Trubisky may not be setting the world on fire but I like what I've seen so far an he is far more mobile than Big Ben was. Glad that Pittsburgh is taking it slowly with Pickett an giving him some time to learn an I know Kenny Pickett at some point will take over at QB an I like what he showed during the preseason but the play calling an offensive line both need to be better for them to have any kind of success.
This may be a long year but there is hope for the future.

Tuff game for the Rookie Kenny Pickett to get his 1st start but he did well. I like what he's done so far now if they can somehow fix that offensive line & Matt Canada start calling better plays it might not be so bad. The next couple games don't get any easier I just hope they don't get Pickett killed.
On Mike Tomlin: You're a little late, you knew coming into this season there was a problem with the offensive line an did little to fix it (hope you're prepared for your 1st losing season). Despite what the HC says Canada is in deep shit(the fans are calling for his head) if he doesn't start doing a better job at having an calling a better game plan.
No excuse for the defense an lack of effort they showed against the Bills. Yeah I know T.J.Watt is out an the secondary is banged up but there is more than enough talent on this team not to be playing better than they have. I guess on the bright side if they keep going the way they have the Steelers will have something they haven't had in a long while a high Draft Pick which should be used on the Best offensive lineman they can get.

The experts all said M.Canada OC needed to be fired an then they said what good will come of it when they will be using his system. Goes to show just how much they know.
1st the Steelers had over 400 yards of offense for the first time in 58 games.
2nd For the first time this season the Steelers out gained the opponent they were playing, they still didn't score that many points but I think that will come.
OC Eddie Faulkner an play caller Mike Sullivan did something that Canada refused to do they set the offense up to have success.
I've been saying that P.Freiermuth needs to be a bigger part of the offense, part of the problem was he was hurt but now he's healthy an they showed how effective he can be in the game against the Bengals when given the chance. Not only did they use Freiermuth but got Heyward & the big rookie Washington involved as well. They need to get these 3 TE's more involed when the get in the red zone because they can be a match-up nightmare for defenses's.
If Faulkner & Sullivan keep calling plays like they did an use the all the weapons they have Pickett & the offense might start to shine. I know it was only 1 game but the future looks brighter than it did at the beginning of the season..

K.Pickett has been getting plenty of slack about his play & rightly so.The question still remain does he have what it takes to be the future at QB or not? Now that he's injured an out for the next 2-4 weeks we will have to wait an see. I think that many calling Pickett a bust an that Pittsburgh needs to draft another QB in this up coming draft is a little unreasonable. Was it more Canada holding back Pickett's growth or has Pickett shown his limited ability in the limited time he's played an the Steelers need to move on an find their QB of the future?
M.Trubisky needs to play well or the Steelers playoff hopes will be gone when/if Pickett can come back. Gotta admit I don't feel that good about Trubisky leading the offense in the next couple weeks, he was the back-up for a reason.
The AFC North has been hit hard with their top QB's getting knocked out this season...

How in the hell do you lose to a New England team that's been having trouble scoring more than 10 points in the last 3 weeks? That being said I'm not that surprised that the Steelers lost. The downfall by the Pittsburgh Steelers is so massive that they just established one of the worst records in NFL history. Steelers became the first team over .500 to lose consecutive games to teams 8+ games under .500. Yes. The Cardinals (2-10) and the Patriots (2-10).
M.Trubisky writing a check with his mouth that his ass couldn't cash. Bad enough you're down 14-3 then bone head throws an INT an gives New England a easy score an now you're down by 18 points. Kenny might not have been playing well but at least he didn't turn the ball over.
Tomlin's streak of 16 non-losing seasons is about to come to an end. Steelers remaining games are against the Colts,Bengals,Seahawks & Ravens an these last 4 games do not look good for Pittsburgh to win any of them. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Steelers season final record of 7-10.
Something needs to be done with both D.Johnson & G.Pickens lack of effort in these last couple games. I know it would be hard to sit both down at the same time but maybe next week sit one of them for the first quarter then the following week sit the other one down for the first quarter. Not sure what Tomlin could do to get his point across to these 2 but something needs to be done an the sooner the better..
